I believe in Service before Self. I have been in the US Air Force for the past thirty some years and have believed in this motto, which is part of their motto, "Service Before Self". Being a candidate and elected official requires self sacrifice for the benefit of the community. I want to serve my community. I do it now in small voluntary ways, such as delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors and mowing the lawn for the Concord Veterans Memorial Building. I want to serve in more meaningful ways. To serve, help, and protect the larger community.
I believe in keeping our residents safe. We deserve timely emergency response and neighborhoods where people feel secure. Our current crisis preparedness is uncertain, and that must change. We also urgently need to improve street safety, especially along the Monument corridor.
I believe in a green future. I will fight to protect and enhance our green space. We also owe it to our children to leave the planet better than we found it.
Green is also the color of prosperity, starting with good schools for our children.
